We require a minimum of four passengers to operate a trip. Don’t worry if you would like to book less than four passengers (say 1pax or 2pax) as our reservations team will combine bookings to get trips away, however it is always worthwhile touching base with us (+ 64 3 442 3031) when you arrive in Queenstown so we can give you the best idea of what is happening with the weather forecast.
6 passengers + guide. This is designed as a small group tour. All passengers will be operating their own snowmobile (apart from children 4-16 years) who will be riding as pillion passengers.
$685 – children ride as pillion passengers with an accompanying adult.
17yrs (Proof of age required). You must be 17 years or older to operate your own snowmobile.
Yes – we pick up from the centre of Queenstown & most Queenstown accomodation. Just let us know where you would like to be picked up and we will let you know exactly when and where you will need to be ready.
No, access is by helicopter only. That’s part of what makes the trip so unique, you are snowmobiling in a back country area, on private land, not accessible to the public.

Coveralls, helmets, gloves and boots will be supplied. (Coveralls, boots and gloves are not supplied for non-riders (ages 4-16) but we will supply helmets for them)

We do supply overalls, helmets, gloves and boots but if you have suitable items of your own you can wear instead, go for it

You may take a small backpack/bag to carry your camera.
We depart daily at 9:00am, 11:30am & 2:00pm – keep in mind all tours are weather & snow dependent so a weather check is done at least an hour prior to all departure times.
You will need to be at the front office 20 minutes before your departure. For example if your trip is at 10am, you will need to check in at our front office no later than 9.40am.

We require you to do a weather check with us at least 1 hour prior to your departure time (we will confirm the exact time when you make a booking). Please phone 03 442 3031 and our reservations team will inform you what is happening with the weather forecast.
We do not fly or snowmobile if the weather makes it unsafe. All clients will be informed at the time of their weather check and offered an alternative day and time to fly and ride or a full refund will be given if you are unable to reschedule.
If you cancel within 24 hours from departure you will not be given a refund. If you cancel before 24 hours from departure you will be given a full refund.
Our pilot will be potentially be available to take photos of you either at the beginning or the end of the trip.
Yes, there is a Portaloo at the base of Nokomai where you begin and end your trip. We also have bathrooms at our check in area at Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters.
